Hofmann Introduces Portable Imaging Alignment System
Conway, AR. - October 31, 2008 -- Hofmann North America builds on its history of innovation with the introduction of the geoliner 550. This unique system incorporates the portability, productivity and serviceability required by today’s shops into one revolutionary system.
The geoliner 550 has a portable design that relies on a patented, innovative configuration of two high-definition camera pods attached to the rear wheels making it the world’s first alignment system with passive targets. These high-definition imaging cameras are encased in heavy-duty magnesium pods mounted to the rear wheels. A set of non-electronic, shatter-proof imaging targets are mounted to the front wheels to complete the system. Measuring information is transferred via Bluetooth™ wireless technology to a Windows-based computer console. The Pods are powered by rechargeable Lithium Ion power packs that will go a week without recharging under average conditions.
The unique two pod configuration effectively eliminates the space constraints faced by many shops and reduces the system’s overall weight by 50%. The geoliner 550’s ergonomic design also means fewer drops, less technician fatigue and fewer service calls related to the pods.
The geoliner 550 also features Hofmann’s step-by-step software to guide technicians through the alignment process, a customer database to access and track customer service history and patented EZ-Toe software that reduces front toe adjustment time by up to 50%.
